2019
Stern competed in all seven races for the Scots… Finished the season strong with a 34th place finish while setting a PR at the MIAC Championships with a time of 23:32.6 on Nov. 2… Stern then placed 60th at the NCAA Central Region Championships on Nov. 16 with a time of 24:30.45. 

2018
Ran in six different races throughout her first season… Cut off almost three minutes from her first 6k time at the St. Olaf Invitational, finishing in 25:36… Put up a PR at the Jim Drews/Tori Neubauer Invitational on Oct. 13 with a time of 24:27… Took seventh at the St. Kate’s Invite, completing the 5k course in 20:25… Finished the MIAC Championship course in 25:02.

Why did you choose to attend Macalester?
I chose to go to Mac because of the opportunity to continue my education in an environment that would push me outside of my comfort zone. I was also drawn to living in a new city and the chance to continue running cross country and track.
 
What has your experience at Macalester meant to you so far?
Being at Macalester has given me the opportunity to participate in sports while also challenging myself with academics. I feel grateful to have supportive and strong teammates that motivate and inspire me.
