Why did you choose to attend Macalester?

I loved the atmosphere and academic and global focuses.

What has your experience at Macalester meant to you so far?

My first year at Macalester was extremely challenging in the best possible way. I left eager to return, ready to follow in the footsteps of the students and athletes who experienced and learned at Mac before me, especially the senior women on the cross country and track teams. It was an honor to work with them and to see and hear about their successes and failures as they navigated through their four years and saw their hard work pay off and their goals come to fruition. Their vision and determination means a great deal to me.

How has your experience as a student-athlete at Macalester prepared you for life after graduation?
I'm so grateful to be a part of the Macalester cross country and track programs. Every woman who has trained alongside me has inspired me and taught me a little more about the importance of hard work and community. While I know I've started a lifelong relationship with running while competing for Macalester, what I have gained from this program goes beyond that. I know what a strong and healthy community looks like and I'm prepared to seek that out in the future and continue to develop the relationships that have made my time at Macalester so memorable.
