What has your experience at Macalester meant to you so far?
Macalester has allowed me to spend time with a variety of people who I wouldn't have otherwise gotten to know. I love that I am able to do a lot of activities as well as focus on my studies-- I am able to attend classes as well as run on the cross country team, be in a music ensemble, and have a work study.
How has your experience as a student-athlete at Macalester helped shape you as an individual?
Being on the Women's Cross Country team has made me more confident in my abilities to improve as a runner, and it's also taught me the importance of empowering other women.
How has your experience as a student-athlete at Macalester prepared you for life after graduation?
I've learned a lot about how to balance multiple commitments, and work with others as part of a team. I've also learned the importance of having ongoing conversations about team culture and how to constantly think about and improve the spaces we operate in, which is important not only on a team but in life past graduation as well.
