Why I chose Macalester:All the colleges I looked at were small liberal arts, but what made Macalester stick out were the fabulous cross country girls. They are very energetic, motivated, and supportive. They have many other talents apart from running, and I want be just like them.
How has your experience as a student-athlete at Macalester prepared you for life after graduation?I would not have the confidence I have today without participating in varsity athletics. This does not just mean that quintessential athletic quality of working hard and facing challenges, but it also means I have the confidence to create my own challenges. Thanks to athletics and supportive teammates I have the courage to dream, to set lofty goals, and to ask for help along the way in order to attain achievement. Even if I don't achieve the lofty goals, I know from competitions that failure does not mean quitting.
