Why did you choose to attend Macalester?

The commitment to well-rounded academics was the deciding factor. The urban location of a nationally-esteemed institution proved to be precisely what I was looking for in a smaller college. The financial aid I was offered was generous enough to make my higher education here a reality. Additionally, the opportunity to continue my cross country career had long been one of my dreams.

What has your experience at Macalester meant to you so far?

My time here so far has allowed me to figure out what actually interests me, academically as well as in the community outside Macalester, and how I want to contribute to both.

How has your experience as a student-athlete at Macalester prepared you for life after graduation?
This team has taught me how to challenge myself, persevere through all manner of difficulties, and trust myself throughout the process, ultimately helping me become an even stronger, scrappier, and more empowered woman. Plus, being a student-athlete has forced me to refine my time management skills.
