Named Academic All-MIAC… Ran six races for the Scots… Clocked a personal best of 23:13.2 in the 5k at the Cannon River Closer on Nov. 7.
2023
Ran at three meets on the season for the Scots… Received Academic All-MIAC honors.
2022
Competed in five races... Registered a time of 26:31.7 at the BluGold Invitational on Sept. 30... Academic All-MIAC honors.
2021
Ran in four races for the Scots.
Before Mac
Four-time recipient of the Student-Athlete award at Marquette High School for participating in a sport and having a 4.0 or higher GPA... Five-time state qualifier... Academic Honor Roll... Four-year Marquette Renaissance award winner.
Why did you choose to attend Macalester?
The cross country and track coach (Mr. Schofer) made a fantastic impression, the women on the team were very positive and encouraging, and the school has what I'm looking for in terms of size and location. I also really like Macalester's approach to inclusion and culture, and its immersion in both classes and campus life.
What has your experience at Macalester meant to you?
My experience at Macalester has meant looking both inwards and outwards, to discover the changes I can make for the better. Macalester has taught me that there is always more to learn - I've begun looking at topics I'm passionate about through a new lens. My appreciation has grown for language and cultures, for the environment, and for people - particularly those who push for growth in their areas of expertise.
