Why I chose Macalester:
I chose Macalester because I wanted a school that would really challenge me academically.  I knew I wanted to play basketball no matter what and there is really good balance here between academics and athletics.  I loved the small school atmosphere.

What Macalester has meant to me:
I have learned so much here, not only academically but about diversity in all aspects.  I have participated in a bunch of campus activities and I've learned a lot about myself.

How being a student-athlete has shaped me as an individual:
I love being a student-athlete because it's a form of a release for me to go to basketball practice.  It has helped me with time management, leadership skills, and work ethic.

How being a student-athlete has prepared me for life after graduation:
Being a student-athlete has taught me so many things about life in general.  By being a part of a team, I have learned what it means to be responsible and hard working.  These two things will really help for life after graduation.
