How has your experience as a student-athlete at Macalester helped shape you as an individual?
Being a student-athlete at Macalester has allowed me to experience people of completely different backgrounds and ideas work together on and off the field for as one unit. Playing a sport here has allowed me to witness complete selflessness for the benefit of the team. It has helped me see the positive outcomes of working hard in order to achieve goals.
How has your experience as a student-athlete at Macalester prepared you for life after graduation?
My experience as a student-athlete at Macalester has taught me that I can overcome even the most difficult obstacles through hard work and perseverance. It has taught me that I can learn to work alongside people who are completely different from myself. I have learned that failure is inevitable, but provides an opportunity to learn and grow.
