Pam Latterell returns to the Macalester coaching staff for her fourth season with the Scots. She spent eight seasons as an assistant softball coach at UW-River Falls. During her tenure at UW-River Falls, the Falcons won back-to-back WIAC titles in 2011 and 2012 and advanced to the NCAA playoffs both years. In 2012, Latterell and the Falcons’ coaching staff was selected the NFCA Great Lakes Region Coaching Staff of the Year.
As a player, Latterell was a starter on the 1993 UW-River Falls squad that won the WIAC championship and a then-school-record 28 games. She also played three seasons at the College of St. Scholastica, where she earned NAIA All-American honors and made the all-conference team twice. After college, Latterell played in the Women's Professional Fastpitch League, now known as National Pro Fastpitch. A native of Foley, Minn., Latterell was inducted into the Foley High School Hall of Fame in 2004.
Latterell graduated from UW-River Falls in 1993 with a degree in biology. She also earned dual Master's degrees in sports medicine and sports coaching from United States Sports Academy.
