Britt Stewart joined the Macalester softball coaching staff as the Scots’ pitching coach in 2022. That year, the pitching staff earned a 9-13 MIAC record and the team finished tied for 7th place.
Stewart has been working with players and primarily pitchers in the metro area and in southwest Minnesota for the last fifteen years. She spends her free time running youth clinics and individual lessons. Her passion is teaching the fundamentals of the game, life-lessons through sport, and developing confidence in young women. Stewart is also the current head coach at Benilde-St. Margaret’s High School.
Prior to Macalester, Stewart served as the head coach at Gustavus Adolphus College for four years. During her time there, the Gusties were 55-65 (.458). Previous to Gustavus, she spent time overseas helping develop softball programs across Germany. From 2013-2016, Stewart was on staff at Southwest Minnesota State University as the graduate assistant and assistant coach.
Stewart played collegiately at Winona State University from 2010-2013. Her team won the NCAA Regional tournament in 2013, advancing to NCAA Super Regionals for the second time in program history. Stewart pitched and played third base. earning All-Conference and All-Region honors during her time as a Warrior.
She has earned her B.S in Elementary Education, M.S in Educational Leadership, and her M.A in Integrative Health and Wellbeing Coaching.
