How has your experience as a student-athlete at Macalester helped shape you as an individual?

It has definitely helped me appreciate the power of hard work and the concept of a team as a family. Yes, my own individual values of self-discipline and integrity have developed over the years, but I have learned that being apart of a team makes you a better individual. Because my team depends on each individual, I have learned a sense of responsibility to improve every day not only for me as a player, but for the team as a whole. I believe that drive to improve is with both athletics and academics.

How has your experience as a student-sthlete at Macalester prepared you for life after graduation?
Throughout my athletic career, the values I've learned have been priceless. Practicing hard-work, discipline, and dedication with my team has been a large part of my life at Mac. Not only my teammates, but fellow athletes have inspired me with their accomplishments. I know that I can bring the values I've learned at Mac post-graduation.
