As a Scot
Honored as a Dewitt Wallace Distinguished Scholar… Studying abroad in Spain in the fall of 2019… Is a research assistant at Rothwell Lab at the University of Minnesota… Teaches tennis at Williston Fitness Center.
2018-19
Earned a spot on the All-MIAC singles team… Named to the MIAC All-Academic team… Was the team’s main No. 1 singles player, posting a 10-7 overall record… Went 5-4 in conference play… Won his first five matches of the season… Secured conference wins against Concordia, St. Mary’s, St. John’s, St. Olaf, and St. Thomas… Recorded a 4-11 record in doubles play, going 3-6 in MIAC competitions.
2017-18
Named to the All-MIAC singles and doubles teams… Produced a 12-7 record in singles throughout the season… Went 4-4 in the No. 1 singles position, 4-1 in No. 2 singles, and 4-1 in No. 3 singles… Was 7-4 in conference matches… Teamed up with Josh Doyle to go 11-7 at No. 1 doubles, including going 6-5 in the MIAC.
How has your experience as a student-athlete at Macalester helped shape you as an individual?
My experience as a student athlete has allowed me to have an expressive outlet from the stressors of Macalester's academic rigor as well as shaping a consistent schedule for me that has kept me on track both academically and athletically.
