MIAC All-Conference 100-yard Backstroke and the 200-yard Backstroke... MIAC All-Conference Relays for the 200-yard Medley, the 400-yard Medley and the 800-yard Freestyle Relay... Academic All-MIAC... Won first place in the 500-yard Freestyle (4:46.07) and the 100-yard Backstroke (51.67) at the Roger Ahlman Invite... Secured second place in the 200-yard Backstroke (1:55.81) and third place in the 100-yard Backstroke (52.36) at the Luther Invitational... At the MIAC Conference Championships, swam to ninth-place in the 500-yard Freestyle (4:47.11), third-place in the 100-yard Backstroke (51.29), third-place in the 200-yard Backstroke (1:45.04) and part of a relay that won second in the 200-yard Freestyle and the 400-yard Medley Relay and second in the 200-yard Medley Relay.

Named MIAC Co-Rookie of the Year… MIAC Champion in the 200-yard backstroke (1:53.77), claimed All-MIAC honors as a member of the school-record-setting 800-yard freestyle (6:55.41), 200-yard medley (1:33.20) and 400-yard medley (3:25.05) relay teams that each placed third and earned MIAC honorable mention with a fourth-place finish (52.64) in the 100-yard backstroke and a fifth place finish (4:46.20) in the 500-yard freestyle at the MIAC Championships on Feb. 19-22… Swam at ten meets in his debut season… Won 11 races for the Scots… Logged a personal best 1:53.43 with a win in the 200-yard backstroke at the Roger Ahlman Invitational on Dec. 7.

How has your experience as a student-athlete at Macalester helped shape you as an individual?
The community that I have is incredible and I believe that the people on my team shaped me into being a better person. They have taught me many life lessons that I will continue to cherish. The love and kindness that everyone brings makes me want to show others the same thing. 

Why did you choose to attend Macalester?
I chose to attend Macalester because of the supportive and diverse community. Also, I look forward to living in a city and gaining new experiences in a new environment. Macalester is a place that will allow me to meet new people with whom I can connect.
