Why I chose Macalester:
"I chose to attend Macalester College because it offered the best combination of strong academics, competitive athletics and a diverse and international atmosphere. Being originally from New York City, I wanted to see the Midwest, but not completely lose the city ambience that I had become so used to."

What Macalester has meant to me so far ('08):
“My decision to attend Macalester was based on three things: the international focus, the small college academic environment, and the soccer program. So far I have enjoyed my time spent at school and found the coursework to be intellectually stimulating. Soccer has been a base upon which to build a fun and successful year, while not dominating or structuring every other aspect of my campus life. Overall, everything has been great and I'm sure it will only get better.”

What Macalester has meant to me so far ('09):
"Macalester is only getting better. Each year I'm excited to see old friends as well as new faces, and this year was no different. I have begun a seriously busy semester, finishing up my major for the most part this year as well as working as a teaching assistant for a first year math class. While I have few free moments, my committment to Mac soccer has been a welcome way to segment and organize my time as well as a great outlet for energies pent up during time spent in the library."

Macalester through Senior Year:
"I'm very excited to be entering my final year at Macalester. The last three years have passed lightning quick, and having taken the most recent semester to study abroad I feel it is high time I returned to class in Saint Paul. By the time senior year roles around Macalester is very much a comfortable place to be. Friendly relationships with many professors and seeing old friends around campus make for a relaxed and fun school environment. Though I'm sad to only have one last season of soccer left, the commitment of the coaches and players promises to make it a terrific one."
