Biography

What Macalester has meant to me so far ('08):
“My first year at Macalester was an incredible new experience. I came from a small French village straight into Macalester's amazing international/multicultural atmosphere. The diversity of people and their experiences really makes this place interesting. My freshman year was also very challenging academically, but professors and classmates are always there to help you out. I am looking forward to coming back and to joining Macalester's soccer program which promises to be another great experience for this upcoming year.”

What Macalester has meant to me so far ('09):
"My second year at Macalester was yet another fulfilling and enjoyable experience. After the discovery process that freshman year is, settling down into classes and a good group of friends allowed me to realize how many opportunities Macalester and the Twin Cities have to offer. I look forward to coming back for the long days of studying, the fun nights of socializing, and more than anything the great times spent on Macalester’s soccer field. With two years left at Macalester, I feel that I must keep on getting the most out of this unique place."

Macalester through Junior Year:
"My junior year was quite a different experience than my first 2 years at Macalester. Fall semester was a time to think ahead towards Major/Minor completion as well as search for summer internships. Soccer and spending time with the team was the excitement needed in comparison to the serious stuff, winning the MIAC could not have been more exciting! Spring semester I took advantage of Macalester’s study abroad programs and spent 4 months in Shanghai. The traveling and discoveries on the other side of the world were amazing. In summer, I took advantage of yet another of the opportunities that Macalester offers and interned in San Francisco for a consulting firm. I am now really looking forward to being back on campus and making the most out of my senior year which promises to be full of challenging classes, memorable times with friends, and, as usual, great soccer."
