Why did you choose to attend Macalester?
Macalester College provides a stage where I can learn at a high level academically while still being able to compete in soccer with a team of dedicated young men. Macalester has a culturally diverse community which provides an opportunity to collaborate with people from all over the globe and to step out of my comfort zone while learning new things.

What has your experience at Macalester meant to you so far?
I've met a diverse group of individuals from varying backgrounds. The academics have been challenging which is paramount to development. I've been able to play alongside a devoted group of gentlemen with strong core values who are focused on achieving a common goal. I value my time spent here and each and every blade of grass I've covered thus far.

How has your experience as a student-athlete at Macalester helped shape you as an individual?
Playing soccer has enhanced my experience at Macalester by allowing me to interact with a group of like-minded individuals who are focused on achieving the same goals. My experience as a student-athlete has instilled in me the importance of teamwork, hard work and communication which are applicable to all facets of life. It has advanced my social skills as well as my sensitivity to cultural differences and personal identities.
 
How has your experience as a student-athlete at Macalester prepared you for life after graduation?
When I joined the men's soccer team, I was gifted with the opportunity to learn important teamwork dynamics and how to interact in a team setting. I've learned how to handle myself in times of adversity, and when things may not go the way that was expected.
