Why I chose Macalester:
I was attracted to Macalester because of the great blend between the strong, competitive Mac soccer program, and its reputation of having some of the best academic programs in the country. When I came to visit Macalester for my first time I was met with a social atmosphere that was very open and accepting. Macalester has a very diverse student population, and as a freshman, I look forward to meeting and interacting with a lot of people from different countries and cultures. The soccer program at Macalester is a great group of guys, and everyone was very friendly to the incoming freshman, and the level of competition during practice is very high. I look forward to having a very successful year at Mac, on and off the field.

What Macalester has meant to me:
I have met a lot of great people and have had a lot of great experiences socially and academically. Macalester has a great social and academic environment, which makes for a very comfortable atmosphere. Also, I have really enjoyed playing soccer for this school, which has a very loyal following.
