Why did you choose to attend Macalester?
I chose Macalester because of the opportunities to explore the liberal arts in a community of students from many backgrounds and nationalities. I was also intrigued to attend Mac because of its great location. The St. Paul and Minneapolis area offer many opportunities that I believe will be useful in my intended areas of study.

What has your experience at Macalester meant to you so far?
My time at Macalester has meant the world to me. Although I have only been here for a year, I have built a solid foundation for my life after Mac. I cannot be more excited to embark on my second year of studies and athletics.

How has your experience as a student-athlete at Macalester helped shape you as an individual?
It has encouraged me to continually stretch my limits as a student, an athlete, and a person. The rigorous environment of Macalester offers a myriad of realms to explore. However, some of the most important lessons I ever experienced while at Mac have come while overcoming the challenges of being a busy student-athlete.

How has your experience as a student-athlete at Macalester prepared you for life after graduation?
The ability to juggle the rigors of a tough athletic schedule and challenging academic schedule will prepare me to take on a busy work and life routine after I graduate. Furthermore, having the experience working extensively in teams both on the field and in the classroom will prepare me for group-oriented work in the future.
