Why I chose Macalester:
I chose to attend Macalester because I felt I could offer me everything I was looking for in my college search and more. At Macalester I get to participate in a rigorous and top ranked liberal arts program. Also I am able to participate in Macalester’s highly competitive and successful soccer program, plus many other opportunities such as great study abroad programs and an urban campus. The small class sizes, welcoming environment, and the overall interest by students in current events and politics were factors which convinced me that Macalester was my best option.

What Macalester has meant to me:
Playing soccer for Macalester has been a great accompaniment to my college experience. The team has been very welcoming which has made my first year at college all the more smooth and enjoyable. Being on the soccer team has served as a great irreplaceable healthy extracurricular activity.
