Macalester College Athletics

Why I chose Macalester:
"What struck me on my visit to Macalester was the sense of internationalism. This sense is unusual especially for the school's size and the different cultures I briefly came in contact with made an impression on me. Additionally, the care I received here as a visitor was unmatched by any other school. At Macalester students can also be athletes as opposed to many schools where athletes can also be students."

What Macalester has meant to me so far:
“I chose Macalester because it offered me numerous opportunities. Macalester's high international population is almost unmatched by any other liberal arts school. Combined with a great study abroad program, I have had and will continue to have a uniquely international experience. The academics at Macalester are top-notch and I enjoy its small class sizes (typically under 25). Finally, the athletics program at Macalester provides a competitive intercollegiate soccer program.”

Macalester as a Senior:

Macalester granted me the opportunity to participate in both competitive athletics and engaging academics. Small classes taught by brilliant, award-winning professors have stimulated my intellect and opened doors to career options otherwise unavailable. If I was forced to apply to college again, I wouldn’t chose another school.
