What has your experience at Macalester meant to you so far?
Macalester has become my home. Over the course of the past year I've gone from newbie freshman in a strange place to really feeling like this is where I belong. I credit that to the students and faculty of Mac always being supportive and welcoming, and never hesitant to lend a helping hand. I look forward to further exploring this new home over the next three years and being one of those people that helped me out during my freshman year.

How has your experience as a student-athlete at Macalester helped shape you as an individual?
Being a student-athlete at Macalester has taught me to take personal responsibility in everything I do, all the time. Whether I have way too much work to do or tons of free time, whether I'm leading the pack or chasing the pack, whether I'm working in the classroom, the library, or on the field, what I do is on me. That's what being a student-athlete means to me, that even though I have to work another 15-20 hours a week for my sport, I am still personally responsible to get everything done, and done well.
