Biography

As a Scot
Plays Club Hockey and intramural basketball.

2016
Started all 20 games… Scored one goal in 1-1 tie against University of Wisconsin-Superior Sept.1… Helped hold opposing teams to just 13 goals on the year.

2015
Started all 21 games as a central defender… Contributed to a Scot defense that allowed just 16 goals in 21 games.

2014
As a first-year played in 15 games, starting in 13… Was voted Most Improved by his teammates.

Before Mac
Received second Team All-ISL selection playing for The Governor’s Academy… NEPSSA Eastern All Star designee… Earned The Ingham Prize

Why did you choose to attend Macalester?
I wanted to go to a school that was in the city but also was small and had a strong sense of community, and Macalester offered all of those things.

What has your experience at Macalester meant to you so far?
I definitely think that my experience at Macalester has helped me grow and mature not only as a soccer player, but as a student and a member of the school, and greater community. The exposure to new cultures and points of view has stimulated intellectual growth in addition to aiding in my growth as student of the world.
 
How has your experience as a student-athlete at Macalester prepared you for life after graduation?
My experience as a student-athlete at Macalester has taught me effective time-management skills which will undoubtedly come in handy in life after graduation. It has also taught me how to set goals, and then work with a team to accomplish those goals which I think has also prepared me well for post-grad work.
