Macalester College Athletics

Why I chose Macalester:
I chose Macalester because of its phenomenal academic reputation, its urban location and the great soccer program. When I was in my college search, small classes, great professors, and a tight knit student body was something I was looking for. Macalester can provide me with that type of atmosphere. I’ve lived in Chicago my entire life and wanted to continue living in a city for college. Macalester is in a beautiful neighborhood and I plan to take full advantage of the Twin Cities (pro sports teams, music venues, internships). The soccer program at Macalester is very strong. Coach Barker and the guys on the team have been very welcoming and the level of play is very high. I’m enjoying meeting new people and getting used to life away from home. I’m excited to be here for the next four years.
