Why did you choose to attend Macalester?
I chose to come to Macalester because the school's generosity with financial aid is allowing me to pursue my interests both academically and athletically.

What has your experience at Macalester meant to you so far?
Macalester has opened up opportunities for personal growth in the academic, athletic and volunteering fields through which I have gained invaluable experience. Macalester's location has also allowed me to gain a new perspective by exploring the Twin Cities and learning more about the Midwestern culture, which is something new to me because I am a California native.

How has your experience as a student-athlete at Macalester helped shape you as an individual?
Playing for the men's soccer team has helped me improve my time management and efficiency. Playing a sport is a big time commitment, which means I have to make the most of my time off the field so I can perform well in the classroom. Soccer has also given me some of the best friends I have ever had, and these guys mean alot to me. Without them I wouldn't be who I am today.

How has your experience as a student-athlete at Macalester prepared you for life after graduation?
I have made many lasting connections, relationships and memories through soccer that I will take with me after graduation. I have learned a lot about working with others and appreciating health and fitness.
