Why did you choose to attend Macalester?
Macalester is my top choice for many reasons:  the location in a cool neighborhood close to two great cities, the emphasis on global perspectives and study abroad, the reputation for academic excellence, and of course a very competitive soccer program!  I believe Mac is a place where I will thrive as a student athlete and establish a strong foundation for my future.

What has your experience at Macalester meant to you so far?
My experience at Macalester has changed my life.  On the soccer field and in class I am constantly pushed to be the best I can be. I have made many great friends and memories.

How has your experience as a student-athlete at Macalester helped shape you as an individual?
My experience as a student-athlete at Macalester has shaped me in a variety of ways. Playing a collegiate sport and going to a school that is on the academic level of Macalester is no easy feat. I have learned how to manage my time and balance many areas of my life. I know the value of hard work, how to be part of a team, how to deal with failure, and most importantly to always be on time.

How has your experience as a student-athlete at Macalester prepared you for life after graduation?
My student athlete experience has taught me how to stay calm in high pressure situations, thrive in a team environment, work hard, and communicate well with others which is essential for a career in medicine.
