Why did you choose to attend Macalester?
I chose to attend Macalester because I was impressed by the campus and the people when I visited and because of its academic prestige, with small class sizes and strong math and pre-med programs.
What has your experience at Macalester meant to you so far?
To me, being a student at Mac has provided me the opportunity to step outside my comfort zone. Being far from home in a community that differs from any I have ever been a part of before has opened my eyes to a breadth of diverse opinions and backgrounds, which has made me more open to personal growth in many facets of my life.
How has your experience as a student-athlete at Macalester helped shape you as an individual?
My experience as a Macalester student-athlete has fostered in me the ability to be more open to growth through the opportunity it has provided me to learn from teammates from so many various backgrounds, both personally and athletically. I have also gained a deeper understanding of what it means to be a part of something bigger than myself and to work as a member of a team.
