Competed in five races for the Scots... Ran the 8,000 meters with a time of 27:40.7 at the Jim Drews Invitational on Oct. 15... Academic All-MIAC honors.

Why did you choose to attend Macalester?
I chose it for the people. It just clicked. It is very diverse and focuses on internationalism which is something I value. But, honestly, it was the people.

What has your experience at Macalester meant to you so far?
It has shown me the importance and role that people play in what home is. At the end of the day, home is not where you physically have a house but where the people in it bring you joy and comfort.

How has your experience as a student-athlete at Macalester helped shape you as an individual?
It has helped me develop my mentoring skills. Seeing how impactful my actions have been to people on the team and on campus has made me hold myself to a higher standard. I want to be the best version of myself and be someone that my teammates and my family are proud of.

How has your experience as a student-athlete at Macalester prepared you for life after graduation?
It has taught me about the importance of discipline regarding school, academic, or professional goals.
