Ciara Williams returned to Macalester as an assistant distance coach in September of 2021. Williams was a member of the Scots’ women’s track & field team for four years, competing in the middle distance events. While at Macalester, she served as the chair of the Student-Athlete Mentor (SAMs) program, which pairs first year student-athletes with upperclassmen to help with the transition to college. Williams also was a member of the Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC) and the Macalester Athletics Strategic Planning Steering Committee.
A native of Portland, Ore., Williams graduated from Macalester in May of 2021 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in international studies. She also works as a legal assistant in Minneapolis.
