What has your experience at Macalester meant to you so far?
My experience at Macalester has caught me by surprise to be honest. After not playing basketball as a senior in high school, I thought I'd never play organized basketball again and now I am a collegiate basketball player. Outside of athletics I was able to finally take Abstract Algebra (MATH 376), a class I've aspired to take since my freshman year of high school. I've also made a great group of friends from all over and even outside the country.

Why did you choose to attend Macalester?
I really wanted to go to a liberal arts school – it was a necessity that I went to a school where I'd be taught by professors and not TA's. Not only did Macalester satisfy these conditions but it also isn't too far from home and Macalester has strong programs in the subjects I am interested in.
