Howard Sinker '78 is a Senior Instructor in Macalester's Department of Media and Cultural Studies. Students he has taught and mentored have gone on to work at the New York Times, Wall Street Journal, New York Daily News, Minneapolis Star Tribune, Minnesota Public Radio, ESPN, Chicago Tribune, Orlando Sentinel, Bloomberg News, The Associated Press and other media companies. He has also taught at the University of St. Thomas and St. Cloud State, and frequently presents to classes and groups at colleges around Minnesota. His areas of expertise include the intersection of sports, media and gender; new media, real-time reporting and Internet journalism.
