Gaby Ramos ‘22 is in his first season with the Macalester men’s basketball team. The Dorado, Puerto Rico native graduated from Macalester College in 2022 with degrees in computer science and political science.
“Gaby was the heart and soul of our team when he played here,” head coach Abe Woldeslassie ‘08 said. “His work ethic and passion for the game is infectious and Gaby will make our program stronger.”
At Macalester, Ramos was a four-year starter and two-time team captain. He earned All-MIAC honors in 2022 after leading the men’s basketball team to the MIAC championship game for the second time in school history. He played in 100 games and scored 923 points in his career. Ramos has coached AAU with the Minnesota Heat and served as a men’s basketball intern for the inaugural NCAA College Basketball Academy.
