Brandon Antl joined the Macalester men’s basketball staff as an assistant coach in 2019. He came to Macalester following a two-year stint as a graduate assistant at Benedictine College in Atchison, Kan.
While at Benedictine, Antl’s responsibilities included scouting, film breakdown, guard development, social media marketing and game analytics. With Antl on staff, the Ravens captured the Heart of America Athletic Conference regular-season title with a perfect 24-0 record and earned a No. 1 seed in the NAIA national tournament in 2019.
Prior to his time at Benedictine, Antl coached AAU boys’ teams for MN Fury and MN Rise, as well as for MN Stars, one of the top girls’ AAU programs in the state. He also was the head coach for the Alden-Conger High School girls’ team for two seasons.
"We are excited to have Brandon join our team,” head coach Abe Woldeslassie said. “He comes highly recommended and his experiences at the high school, AAU and college levels have prepared him well for this opportunity. We are grateful to have Brandon at Macalester."
Antl graduated from the University of Minnesota-Duluth in 2013 with a degree in business administration. He also earned his MBA from Benedictine in 2019.
