Career stats

2011: Arrived on campus as a safety and appeared in three games at the position during freshman season . . . Recorded his first career sack to help the Scots secure the Paint Bucket versus Hamline

2012: Converted to linebacker to open his sophomore season . . . Played in seven games and was one of the Scots top performers on special teams . . . Tallied a sack in the season’s opening game versus Crown . . . Finished tied for fifth on the team in tackles for loss (2.5)

2013: Went into his junior season as a starting inside linebacker for the Scots . . . Started the team’s first four games before suffering a knee injury against Mayville State . . . Attempted to return to action by appearing in the game versus University of Chicago two weeks later, but was eventually forced to miss the rest of the season . . . Collected 23 tackles on the season, including a career-high eight at Concordia in Week 2 . . . Tied a team-high by recovering two fumbles on the season, despite missing five games

Why did you choose Macalester?
I was looking for a school that would challenge me in the classroom and was small enough for me to be part of a tight-knit community. Also, I spent one night with Juniors Aaron Gallegos and Riley Koval and they proved to me that there is no college team that can hope to rival the close bond that the MAC football players have formed. After one overnight visit to the school, it was obvious that there was a 'team first' attitude in this program, and that is the quickest way to a successful team and relationships that will last forever.

What other activities are you involved in on campus/in the community?
Intramural sports, Club Rugby, Lives of Commitment.

What do you want to do after your time here at Macalester?
I would love to be a researcher in the field of physics, but I could easily see myself teaching physics and coaching.
