Recorded his first collegiate interception in a win over Grinnell Sept. 26. 

Before Mac
Served as Co-Captain senior year at St. Paul Academy… Named All-Conference as a senior… Led his team in tackles junior and senior year and in receiving yards as a senior… Also paced the conference in punt and kick return yards in 2014… A member of the Debate National Honors Society.

Why did you choose to attend Macalester?
Macalester has a beautiful campus, nice dorms, fantastic food, great location, and is highly ranked. However, it's the great people that stood out most to me. I knew that if I surrounded myself with great people that I too would become great. Macalester was an easy choice. I'm more than excited to be a student here and I'm thankful to be a part of this football team.

What has your experience at Macalester meant to you so far?
My experience at Macalester has been invaluable. I've been given the opportunity to take challenging courses with fantastic professors, meet amazing people, and play for a top-notch football program with great coaches and teammates.

How has your experience as a student-athlete at Macalester helped shape you as an individual?
Macalester football has provided me with a remarkable support system. After an ACL/MCL tear during the fall 2016 season, I was met with nothing but support and encouragement by my teammates and coaches. The support I received helped me remain optimistic through my surgery, recovery, and offseason. I'm grateful for my teammates, coaches, trainers, and managers for helping me turn this negative experience into an opportunity to become a stronger individual.

How has your experience as a student-athlete at Macalester prepared you for life after graduation?
Macalester has prepared me for life after graduation by providing me with a world-class education, an incredible athletics experience, the opportunity to travel Europe through study abroad, and the tools to continue to develop a strong work ethic upon graduating.
