Why did you choose Macalester?
I Choose Macalester because I wanted to attend a school that would be academically challenging. I also was interested in continuing to play football if possible. Macalester met both of these requirements and attending Macalester is the best decision I have made thus far in my life.

What other activities are you involved in on campus/in the community?
I currently am the President of Macalester Health Professions Student Coalition (HPSC) which is a student organization that helps students connected to resources in health fields they are interested in. I also volunteer at Camp Odayin which is a camp for children with congenital heart defects. The past year I have been working in Professor Hoye's Organic Synthesis Lab doing research on synthesizing Fusarinine C.

What do you want to do after your time here at Macalester?
Next year I hope to be a member of Teach for America teaching science to students in underserved communities. After two years I will be attending medical school hoping to focus on pediatric medicine.

Favorite sports movie and/or quote?
'Football is a game played with arms, legs and shoulders but mostly from the neck up.”
