Zach Hahn

Zach Hahn enters his fifth season with the Scots, although, it will be his first season as a member of the Macalester College coaching staff. He will be working on the defensive side of the ball with the cornerbacks. Hahn first came to Macalester after graduating from Wayzata High School (Minn.) where he lettered for two seasons as a defensive back. At Macalester Hahn was a four year starter in the defensive secondary.

“Since my arrival to Macalester three years ago, Zach has consistently been a very positive leader in addition to being a strong player in our football program,” said head football coach Tony Jennison. “Zach is very thorough and detailed in his work but is also a great person who is passionate about football. He has transitioned very well into his new role as a coach and has a bright future in the coaching profession.”

Last spring, Hahn graduated from Macalester with a major in both Political Science and Educational Studies. He is currently working towards obtaining his teaching license from Hamline University, School of Education.

“I am excited for the opportunity to begin my coaching career at Macalester. As a player I thoroughly enjoyed every moment I had on the field, and now that my playing career is over I look forward to sharing my knowledge and experiences in hopes of making a positive impact on a program that is clearly on the rise.”
