Sean McMoore is back for his second season at Macalester. Previously, McMoore coached the freshman team and the varsity defensive backs at Harding High School in 2013 and the defensive backs and linebackers at his alma mater, Minneapolis Washburn, in 2011 and 2012. Prior to his high school experience, McMoore coached at Ellsworth Community College in Iowa for one season.

McMoore played collegiately at the University of Northern Iowa. After redshirting as a freshman, he played in every game over the next four seasons, competing in the FCS playoffs three times. During his senior season McMoore helped UNI to the national FCS semifinals before losing to the eventual national champion. He then went on to play professional football for the Minnesota Vikings (NFL), Billings Outlaws (IFL) and the Oklahoma City Yard Dawgz (AFL).

A psychology major at UNI, McMoore currently works at St. Paul Harding High School as an Intervention Specialist and attained his master’s degree in educational leadership in May of 2014.
