Hal Reeser is in his eighth year on the Macalester College football staff, where he coached running backs during his first four seasons. He begins his fourth season as the offensive line coach. Reeser came to Mac from Louisburg, N.C., where he spent two seasons coaching the running backs and defensive backs.
 
Reeser, originally from Union, Mo., was a three-sport athlete, lettering in football, basketball and baseball. He earned all-conference honors on the football field at fullback and outside linebacker.
 
He attended Lindenwood University in St. Charles, Mo., where he was a three-year football letter-winner as a fullback, and earned a bachelor’s degree in Physical Education in 2002. Reeser also coached outside linebackers and defensive linemen as a graduate assistant at the University of Saint Mary in Leavenworth, Kansas, while earning his Masters in Education in 2005.
 
Reeser has coached at both the high school and college levels throughout his 15-year coaching career. “I am excited to be a part of the changing tradition at Macalester College and feel I have the knowledge and experience to help,” Reeser said. “I am extremely passionate about helping the student-athletes develop and am grateful to be in a program that places a high value on that.”
 
Reeser and his wife Christa have a son, Lincoln (4) and a daughter, Lauren Anne (2).
