Claud Allaire is in his 10th year on the Macalester football coaching staff. Allaire has been coaching since 1987. His experience includes coaching at several colleges and high schools while serving as a leader in the coaching community.
At the high school level, Allaire served as an assistant coach on state championship teams at Ann Arbor Pioneer in Michigan (1987) and Minnetonka in Minnesota (2004). He also served 10 years as a high school head coach including Minneapolis North, Osseo, and Simley high schools. At the collegiate level, he served as a graduate assistant coach for defending 1988 National Champion Ithaca College (N.Y.) and assistant coach at North Central College (Ill.), Normandale Community College, and Hamline University. He has also been involved with numerous camps and clinics, including coaching 10 years at the University of Michigan camp and directing several coaching clinics, including Nike Coach of the Year clinics in Las Vegas and San Diego and the Minnesota Football Coaches Association coaches clinic. Allaire coached in the 2002 Minnesota High School All-Star game and previously served six years on the Minnesota Mr. Football Committee. He currently serves on the Executive Committee of the Minnesota Football Coaches Association and received the MFCA’s Distinguished Service Award in 2019.
“Coach Allaire and I have known each other for many years and I am very pleased to have him on the Macalester coaching staff,” said head coach Tony Jennison. “Claud is a consummate professional and very well respected throughout coaching circles here in the Upper Midwest. I am excited because of the experience and perspective he’ll bring to our coaching staff from his career coaching on both sides of the ball.”
Outside of football, Allaire is the founder and Executive Director of FIT Academy Charter School. He and his wife Suzette have four children: Alexandra, Sam, Josie and George.
