Bryan Chung was added to the Macalester coaching staff in the spring of 2023 as an assistant coach. He coaches the team's running backs and coordinates the Scots' technology and social media efforts.
Chung’s first college coaching experience was during the 2022 season as an Offense Quality Control assistant at Division I Northern Colorado in Greely, Colo., where he worked with the running backs and tight ends coaches and players. He also assisted the recruiting coordinator by creating recruiting materials, and helped manage the scout team at practices. During the summer of 2022, Chung also worked at the Stanford University Football camp, coaching wide receivers.
While attending Washington and Lee University, Chung served as a student recruiting assistant and graphic designer for the football program for three years. Also at Washington and Lee, he was the social media director for Perry Minority Athlete Coalition, created to support minority student-athletes. He also was a graphic design intern at Georgetown University during the summer of 2021.
A four-year member of the Generals’ football team, Chung earned ODAC All-Academic Team honors each year. He graduated from Washington and Lee in 2022 with a Bachelor of Science degree in neuroscience. Chung was born in Seoul, South Korea and went to high school in McLean, Va.
