Being a student athlete, I have to keep both my body and mind in top shape at all times so I give most of the credit for my health and perseverance to being a student-athlete. My college experience would not have been the same without having the privilege of being a student-athlete.
How has your experience as a student-athlete at Macalester prepared you for life after graduation?
Being a student athlete has taught be to take pride in my efforts and how to balance multiple commitments at once. Both athletics and academics are important to me and doing them at the same time can be stressful but being a student-athlete forces better time management and how to take ownership and pride, and persevere in all efforts and aspects of life. Being a student athlete is a decision I will always cherish and I know will contribute in large part to whatever successes are to come in my future.
