Why did you choose to attend Macalester?
Macalester appealed to me from the second I set foot on campus. Anybody that has any experience at Mac will say how friendly every single soul is on campus, and they aren't lying. People at Mac go out of their way to make you feel welcome. Also, coming from a rural home in Arizona, I wanted to get out and see the world. The Twin Cities are a growing hub for business and tourism, and a great place for college life. Mac's beautiful campus is in a perfect location, where public transit just across the street will take you almost anywhere in the Cities. Even better, the campus doesn't have a crammed or overly urban feel in the least. I'm thrilled to be part of this awesome team, and community.

What has your experience at Macalester meant to you so far?
Macalester is all I thought it would be and more. Looking back on my first year, I had so many experiences that were fulfilling, exciting, and fun. My time at Mac has meant growth for me academically and athletically. As a Mac student, so many doors open to you that you never even knew existed. I'm looking forward to what my next three years as a Scot bring.

How has your experience as a student-athlete at Macalester prepared you for life after graduation?
Macalester has taught me how to solve problems, interact effectively with people, and be active in the community. These skills will continue to play a large role in my life many years into the future. The thing I love most about Mac is it's not just school, it's an immersive experience that prepares you for the rigors of the job market, graduate school, or whatever else you choose to pursue after graduation.
