2011 - Garrett had an outstanding junior year and earned MIAC all-conference honors. . . was named to the Capitol One All-District baseball team. . . hit a robust .403 on the season and led the Scots in doubles (11) and hits (50). . . hit .441 in MIAC play and led the league in hits (30). . . had eight, three-hit games. . . saved perhaps his best day to help wrap-up a conference championship by going 8 for 11 with three doubles in a double header sweep vs. Concordia College on 5-10-10. . . led the way vs. Bethel University on 4-28-10 by collecting five hits, including a grand slam.. . . a biology major, named academic all-conference for the second consecutive season.
2010 - played in all 40 games during his sophomore year, starting in 38. . . ranked second on the team in home runs (3). . . ranked fifth in batting average (.323) and RBI (19). . . primarily used as catcher he threw out 8 of 20 would be base stealers. . . also saw time at first base and designated hitter. . . had big days against conference rivals, collecting two hits, including a home run vs. St. Olaf on 5-5-10, and a 3 for 3 performance vs. St. Mary’s on 5-9-10. . . first collegiate home run 3-8-10 vs. UW-Superior. . .non-conference games of note were a pair of three-hit games on the spring trip vs. Concordia (IL) on 3-14-10 and Concordia (WI) on 3-18-10. . . earned academic all-conference honors.
2009 - started 32 games during his freshman campaign and hit a solid .264. . . due to injuries, he was relegated to the DH role and racked up 87 at-bats, none bigger than his 2 for 4 performance in a sweep vs. conference power St. Olaf College on 4-18-09. . . collected his first collegiate hit vs. Edgewood College on 2-27-09. . . went 3 for 4 game vs. ’09 National Champion, University of St. Thomas on 4-3-09.
High School - comes to Macalester from St. Francis HS in Glendale, CA. . . was a two-time member of the Mission League all-academic team.

Why I chose Macalester:
I chose Macalester because it gave me the opportunity to challenge myself academically while playing baseball. I knew it would provide me with an environment to flourish intellectually and athletically.
What macalester has meant to me:
Thus far, I greatly cherish my experience at Macalester, as I have developed bonds with many of my friends and teammates that will last a lifetime.
How Macalester Baseball has shaped me as an individual:
My experience as a student-athlete at Macalester has shaped me to become a more well-rounded and responsible individual. Pursuing a liberal arts education while participating in collegiate athletics has pushed me to manage my time better and involve myself in a multitude of activities.
How being a student-athlete has prepared me for life after graduation:
My experiences as a student-athlete have prepared me to pursue my career goals of becoming a physician by challenging me intellectually and pushing me to develop leadership and communication skills.
