Why did you choose to attend Macalester?
Coach Parrington first introduced me to Macalester when I met him at a baseball showcase. After doing more research about the college it seemed like a good fit for me. What convinced me to go to Macalester was the overnight visit. I could see myself thriving here.

What has your experience at Macalester meant to you so far?
Macalester has given me the opportunity to grow as a student, as an athlete, and overall as a person. Everyone here has been great to me and has pushed me to be better in all three of these areas; for that, I can't thank Macalester enough.

How has your experience as a student-athlete at Macalester helped shape you as an individual?
Being a student-athlete at Macalester has really helped my time management abilities in particular. Because of the increased responsibilities that come with being a student and an athlete, I have become much more punctual and I don't leave things to the last minute if I can help it. Being in the unique position of balancing academics with a varsity sport forced good habits like these on me, and I saw a noticeable improvement in work ethic towards both school and baseball.

How has your experience as a student-athlete at Macalester prepared you for life after graduation?
Macalester has given me the opportunity to explore, find, and solidify my passions. As an athlete, I have solidified my passion for playing baseball and have created unforgettable memories with my teammates and coaches. As a student, I found my passion for neuroscience and medicine. Through the many resources Macalester has offered over the past four years, I have found a clear direction and am equipped with the necessary skills in order to succeed in life after graduation.
