Macalester College Athletics

Thomas Shogren is a 2019 Macalester graduate. He served as an assistant pitching coach for the Scots from 2020-22 and returned to the staff in 2026. Shogie will help out with our pitchers and throw extensive amounts of batting practice. While at Macalester, he majored in applied mathematics and statistics and currently works full-time at 3M as a financial analyst. Shogren was an all-conference pitcher at Macalester during his senior year and was voted Most Valuable Pitcher by his teammates.
