Mike Davis was added to the Macalester baseball coaching staff during the summer of 2020. A native of Hopkins, Minn., he played baseball for three seasons at Lambuth University in Jackson, Tenn.
As a senior at Lambuth, Davis earned NAIA All-American honors after batting .459 with 19 doubles, 10 home runs and 69 runs batted in. He finished his career with 37 homers, 152 RBIs and a batting average of .375 over three seasons. The former Hopkins High School standout earned All-Conference honors all three years at Lambuth.
Davis graduated from Lambuth in 2010 with a degree in health and human performance and sociology. Outside of his responsibilities with the Scots, he works as a senior recruiter for a health care organization in the Twin Cities.
Davis has continued to play amateur baseball for the past 16 years, including 12 years with the Minnetonka Millers/Monarchs.
