Macalester College Athletics

Jacobson begins his fifth year on staff in 2018 and will serve as pitching coach.

He comes to Macalester from Augustana College in Sioux Falls, S.D., where he graduated with a degree in physics.

Jacobson began his collegiate career at Saint Mary’s in Winona, Minn., before transferring to Augustana for two stellar seasons.

While at Augustana he set a school record in 2012 for innings pitched in a season (82.2). He was a NSIC pitcher of the week and Central Region pitcher of the week in May of 2011.

Jacobson was selected as a Gold Glove winner in the NSIC, and earned first team a Central Region Gold glove award as well.

He concluded his playing days with a stint in the Pecos League during the summer of 2013.

Jacobson works at Pitch2Pitch, where he serves as the regional manager and director of operations and facilities at the Chanhassen facility.
