2013 – Alex transitioned to pitching full-time and had his first collegiate appearance vs. North Central University on 3-11-13, he pitched three innings in relief while scattering two hits. . . collected first collegiate save vs. UW-Superior on 3-16-13. . . threw complete game in MIAC action vs. Bethel University on 4-26-13. . . longest outing of the year came in his first collegiate start against Williams College on 3-20-13 when he threw seven strong innings and scattered four runs.  2012 – saw limited action on the field.  2011 - had pinch hit RBI singles on back to back days vs. MIAC opponents, Augsburg College on 4-5-11 and Hamline University on 4-6-11. . . had a big stolen base and scored key run in a comeback win vs. Carleton College on 4-25-11. . . collected first collegiate hit on 3-17-11 vs. Wesleyan University.  High School - comes to Macalester from Gallatin, TN. . . was the Defensive MVP his senior year at Pope John Paull II HS while playing first base, third base, and outfield. . . played an integral part in leading his HS team to the most wins in school history and to the final eight in the Tennessee HS State Tournament.

What I hope to do after graduation:
I'm currently developing a business plan with a group from my entrepreneurship class. If the idea proves to be viable then I plan to launch the business upon graduation. I'm also applying for jobs regarding marketing and advertising.

How Macalester has prepared me:
Macalester has given me the chance to explore many different areas of interest and find out what I do and don't enjoy.
