Mission Statement
Macalester Club Crew strives to provide members with an accessible way to explore the world of rowing. Through holding practices, participating in regattas, scrimmages, and other competitions, and hosting team bonding experiences, the team gives members opportunities to learn teamwork, personal fitness, and leadership skills. As a sport traditionally associated with privilege, it’s critical to us that every Macalester student, no matter their background, is able to row. As such, the Club doesn’t require any dues and takes all possible steps to ensure that money is never a barrier to competing. We place great emphasis on creating a welcoming environment where individuals can meet new people and come together to practice a sport they have loved for years or are just being introduced to.
