Why did you choose to attend Macalester?

I chose to attend Macalester because I wanted to be a part of a close knit community at a liberal arts college. I absolutely love the smaller class sizes which allows me to get to know my professors as well as my peers at a more in depth level. Additionally, I love being part of a Division III athletic program because it allows me to be a student first while still providing me with a rigorous athletic experience.

What has your experience at Macalester meant to you so far?

My experience at Macalester has been truly wonderful. I have been able to find an education plan I am passionate about while simultaneously broadening my outlook on the world. The amount of growth I have experienced as an individual thus far has been incredible, and I know Macalester and its students will continue to push me to grow throughout the rest of my years.

How has your experience as a student-athlete at Macalester helped shape you as an individual?

Through being a student athlete, I have been able to learn to better manage my time in order to balance my academic, athletic, and social life. I have been able to grow a great amount due to the constant support I receive from my team and from interacting with some of the most driven and talented people I have ever met.
